Satish Anantharaman is a Regional Director at Stanley Engineered Fastening, the industrial division of Stanley Black and Decker. He has over 18 years leadership experience in the use of advanced assembly technologies for plastics and composites, with applications in Aerospace, Medical, E-mobility , Automotive, Electronics, Industrial, Packaging and other niche segments. He started his career in the US after completion of his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, working on advanced plastics assembly technologies for use in E-Mobility and holds multiple patents and publications in this area. After an extended stint in the US interspersed with work assignments in Japan and Germany as part of the Robert Bosch Battery Systems Group, he moved to China in a leadership role for a Li-Ion battery joint venture. Here, he led battery pack assembly for Stationary and Mobility energy storage applications. After relocating to India, he established the Indian entity for Dukane, a Chicago headquartered, Global technology leader in the manufacture of advanced plastics assembly machinery. As the Managing Director, he was responsible for introducing several innovative solutions using ultrasonic, infra-red, heat and friction to solve technical challenges with bonding of advanced plastics and composites. In addition to his engineering qualifications, he also has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University, USA.
