Prof. Subba Rao was awarded the doctor of philosophy from the prestigious IISc, Bangalore. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, he was designated as Professor of Biochemistry at his alma-mater. He later went on to head the department of biochemistry at IISc before taking over as the Scientific Director and the CEO of the Vittal Mallya Scientific Research Foundation and the president of research at the United Breweries group of companies. He has received numerous awards including the National VASVIK award for biological sciences and technology in 1999. Prof Subba Rao brings his experience and vision to Bigtec labs to help chart the path forward and ensure that Bigtec labs remains at the fore front of the biotech industry.

Dr. B. K. Iyer is a practicing physician at Mumbai, India and the medical director at bigtec labs. He has also been closely associated with the healthcare industry for the past 25 years. As a medico marketing specialist, he links the strategic needs of the pharmaceutical companies and the medical community and also supports coordination with the regulatory authorities. A regular speaker at CMEs and conferences in India and across the globe; he has a string of publications to his credit, spanning various clinical specialties. He is a key member of the think tank at bigtec labs, guiding the team on emerging diagnostic applications and newer disease areas / segments. His role in integrating bigtec lab scientists to the diverse perspectives / demands of the clinicians forms a critical element of the innovative health care approach at bigtec labs.
